Find the Lowest Air Fares by Not Traveling During Holidays |

Whew! I just checked the lowest air fares from Phoenix to Las Vegas, and they sure have gone up. It's almost worth driving these days, instead. But I was checking the fares during spring break, so now that I have recovered from my monetary heart attack, I think I'll book the trip for April, instead. It's still comfortable weather in Las Vegas toward the end of April, and I do want the lowest air fares possible, so I will be flexible. I'll save about $200 bucks per person traveling there then, instead of during March. It's too bad it isn't possible to get bargain air fares during high demand seasons, so more people could travel to see their friends or families during holidays. If I booked a flight to Las Vegas from Phoenix over the fourth of July holiday, which falls on a Friday this year, the fare would be $258 one way! That's discouraging to people who have to travel on a budget. And Las Vegas over the fourth of July is very hot, and in its low season then. I guess my lesson to learn is that the lowest air fares will be to cities during non-holiday times. Too bad. |
